Warm Up
A sequence of unfolding events happening in a Story’ theme.

Characters classification

Introduces character, setting and conflict

Physical appearance

What? General description of the problems, or


difficulties the main character encounters.

A little girl who encounters a starving wolf on


her way to her grandmother’s house.
Rising Action
Presents Complications.

Possible threats, disagreements, or odd behavior started arising with the


characters. The tension begins to be built by the author.

● How is the wolf presented? Is he described as someone with good intentions?


Does something seems odd with him?
● How did Little Red Riding Hood react when she first met the wolf? Did she
seem aware of the wolf's intentions?
Climax
The climax is the moment of major interest in the story when the main
character faces danger; or a moment of great distress.

● What happened when the wolf got to Little Red Riding Hood grandma's
home before the little girl?
● What happened when the little girl find out the wolf’s
● fallacy?
Falling Action
Brings the story to a close.

Something or someone shifts the course of the story.

● Who came to rescue the little girl and her grandma from the wild wolf?
● Do you think the women's fate would be different if the haunter had not come
to their rescue?
● Did the haunter shift the course of the story?
Resolution
The conflict final outcome. It reveals the fate of the characters in the story.

Some ending can be tragic, other can have a happy ending and some others
might not have conclusive endings.

● What was the wolf’s fate? And what about the Little girl and her grandma?
● What kind of ending does the Little Red Riding Hood short story have?
Flashback
Interrupt the chronological order of events in a story. It describes something that
took place at an earlier time in the story.

● Sometimes it helps the reader have a more clear perspective of an event or


character's behavior and personality.
● For example: Imagine the wolf had an flashback of his childhood when he
smelt the food in the Little Red Riding Hood’s basket. Perhaps that throwing
back to the past could help us understand why of the wolf’s aggressive
behavior etc.

Story Plot Stage Five/ Climax


Story Title: The Little Red Riding Hood

Climax the wolf pretends to be Little Red Riding Hood grandma; after he is discover, he tries to debore the little girl .

“Oh, but, grandmother, what a terrible big mouth you have.”

“The better to eat you with.”

And scarcely had the wolf said this, than with one bound he was out of bed and swallowed up Little Red Riding Hood.

When the wolf had appeased his appetite, he lay down again in the bed, fell asleep and began to snore very loud.”
