This activity emphasizes on the data collection. All the

data on traffic counts and sample format will be provided
thru file attachments. When creating a sample TIA report,
the following must be observed:

Find a location for your proposed development within
the VIRAC AREA. Any vacant lot will be accepted since
this will solely serve as a sample report for the course
requirement.

3.1 Preliminary Surveys
Decide on your minimum study area and create a figure
for your immediate vicinity of the project site. You can
use Google Maps or Google Earth.

Take photos of the traffic conditions and situation in the
area where your proposed development is located.
Include public transport operations, pedestrian movements,
queuing at intersection approaches, non -motorized
transport observations, motorcycle behavior, and roadside
parking if there are any.

Provide a floor layout of your proposed
development. You can download free floor
layout or you can use any available floor layout.

Make a summary of the given 16-hour traffic
volume count attached as a pdf file.

5-10 students will be randomly selected to present.
