Section 1 (Description of Mini Project)

My ITS Student Connect is a website created by ITS that is related with student’s portfolio. This
website is used by student to submit their certificates that will be graded and then converted to
SKEM GPA. But as the time goes by, ITS also trying to improve their website so that the
students can feel satisfied every time they access this website.

What makes students confused while accessing the website especially when they are trying to
input the portfolio in My ITS Student Connect? Reacting to this question, we can make a
connection to the problem arises from the inconsistency categories used for the portfolio and
SKEM assessment. The common problem is that students often feel confused about what
should they input in the certain category. In this occasion, I would like to know more about how
this confusion will impact the user experience.

Section 2

I have completed 5 sessions of interviews and observations, each of at least 20 minutes in

duration, according to my interview protocol.

Section 3 (Direct quotations from affinity notes)

U02 : "Website can't be accessed via smartphone.”
U02 : "I access the website only for checking portfolio"
U01 : "The traffic in the website is bad."
U01 : "UI design is unsatisfying."
U02 : "The tutorial video is unnecessary."

Section 4 (Observations & Interpretations + Code)

U02 : The website accessibility is not good enough.
U02 : Mostly student only access it at the end of the semester.
U01 : Website server is bad.
U01 : The UI needs to be redesigned.
U02 : The tutorial video needs to be removed.

Section 5 (Factual statements + Code)

U02 : The website is not really accessible in any device.
U02 : The website is not often accessed by the student unless there is something important.
U01 : Web server is often down and take a long time to access.
U01 : The UI design is old-fashioned.
U02 : Tutorial video provided is hardly opened by students.
U02 : The categories are ambiguous.
U02 : Some students like to access the scholarship section.

Section 6 (Other notes + Code)

U02 : A lot of students experiencing the same problem, regarding to the accessibility of the
website and the server.
U02 : The category is somehow confusing, because it is different in SKEM assessment and
portfolio.
U01 : Students mostly understood the assignment without any help but still have the same
confusion.
U01 : "My Folder" is somehow unnecessary.
U02 : Students are questioning about the placement of the portfolio.
