text. Follow the guidelines below to answer short text questions:

Answering short text questions effectively requires the use of the following approaches:

a) Understanding advertisement:
• First, read the headline, which summarizes the

a variety of locations including Instanbul,Shanghai,Macau,London and Scotland. The soundtrack is also
impressive including the theme song. I would highly recommend ‘Skyfall’, especially if you are keen on
action films. You will be on the edge of your seat untill the end.

RATIONAL CLOZE

TYPE STRATEGIES

Rational  A rational cloze passage with 10-11 numbered blanks can be found in
Cloze this section. This section assesses both grammar and vocabulary.
 Effective strategies to answer a rational cloze:
• First, skim through the section to get a sense of what it's about.
Pay particular attention to the words or sentences before and
after each blank while selecting an answer.
• Look over the options given as a possible answer and eliminate the
ones that seem unlikely as the answer
• Check to see if the option you selected is in the same tense as the
rest of the sentences.
• Finally, go over the passage again to make sure your answers are
correct.

A good night’s sleep is essential for our mental and physical health. Lack of sleep causes lethargy

health, immune system and even our weight. To gain quality health , we need to develop healthy
sleep habits.

We can fall asleep easily if our bedroom makes us feel comfortable and relaxed. We can create a good
