PROJECT PROPOSAL

An investigation into IBD students' opinion on stress in university life

1. Background
- Emma K. Adam, professor of human development and social policy at Northwestern
University in Illinois, said, "Stress is there for a reason. It's there to help mobilize you
to meet the demands of your day, but you're also supposed to have times where you
do shut down and relax and repair and restore." College students sometimes have to
deal with a lot of strain, from paying for their education and studying to applying for
internships. Under the right conditions, some stress can be beneficial and even
inspiring, but most of the time stress is overwhelming and can cause other problems.
2. Statement of the problem
- Since stress is something that young people are experiencing more and more
frequently, I decided to explore this subject to pinpoint some of its issues. College
students are not an exception to the rule that most people suffer stress to some level.
For various reasons, many college students claim to have experienced fluctuating
stress during their time there. Although stress affects people differently and for
different reasons, and because people react to it differently, it doesn't have to cripple
or keep you from achieving your goals.
3. Purpose of the research
- There are three primary reasons for conducting this study. To begin, we'd like to
ascertain how young people in general, and IBD students in particular, feel about the
problem of stress nowadays. The second objective is to identify factors contributing
to stress in IBD students. Finally, what IBD students do to release their stress.
4. Research questions
- The research is going to answer the following research questions:
1. What do IBD students think about stress in Viet Nam?
2. Why do IBD students have stress problems?
3. What is the solution that IBD students solve their stress?
