My Perfect Holiday
A perfect holiday, in my opinion, would incorporate mixtures of weathers lovely
mountains to catch the nice breeze, a verity of cultured food and flavors to
choose from. To add to this perfect trip I would like to do lots of outdoor
activities. There are a few countries that tick all theses boxes, for example, the
Himalayas, Reunion Island, South Africa, Jamacia, Lebanon and I chose
Reunion Island.

Three activities I will choose while I’m there

Located in the heart of the Indian Ocean, Reunion Island is a country full of
exquisite landscapes and fun activities to fill up a perfect holiday.

I plan to do a lot of outdoor activities, Adventure Sports and learn about the
history of Reunion Island I will do some paragliding in Saint-Leu Region above
the turquoise lagoons and unique vegetation.

After that, I will visit Musée Stella Matutina which translate to Stella Matutina
Museum this is a historical site located in Piton Saint-Leu, Stella Matutina
Museum, for 20 years, it was a place where the public could come to learn about
the industrial techniques used in sugar cane production, as well as glean
information about this history of Reunion Island and its people. In 2011, the
Reunion region embarked on a project to completely renovate the museum and
its site, as part of a new scientific and cultural programme.

The last activity I plan to do I a hike, Due to the mixed terrain of this fascinating
island, hiking is incredibly popular and the number one activity. The calderas
and volcanoes are the main attraction which holds magnificent waterfalls, lush
forests, hills and valleys ripe for a journey. The walks range from easy to
difficult which allows somethings for every type of hiker.

Staying connected – Applications

I have downloaded the following apps to help me stay connected to Reunion
Island and its people. The first app I used was Google translate, Google translate
is a free multilingual and neural machine translation service developed by
Google. This app is useful in this situation to help us translate what we need to
say because in Reunion the common language is French and Reunionese Creole
(the native language of 90% of the population).

The second app I used was Facebook, and Facebook is a social networking
website where users can post comments, share photographs and post links to
news or other interesting content on the web. You can even order food on
Facebook if that’s what you want to do I used this app to stay connected to the
people so I can see how they use social media.

The third app I used was Google Maps is a web-based service that provides
detail information about geographical regions and sites around the world. In
addition to traditional road maps, Google maps offer satellite views of many
places. I used This app to help find the destination of the activity I will be doing
and to find the nearest food accommodations to try some amazing Reunion
Island food.

My Impacts
Much of Reunion Island population lives near or below the poverty line. By
some estimates, nearly 50 per cent of the country’s population lives below the
poverty line. Minority face particular disadvantages. Young people are also
more likely to face poverty due to the increasing number of 15-25 years old
competing for scarce employment.

In Reunion Island, the outdoor air pollution is a mix of chemicals, particulate

matter, biological materials that react with each other to form tiny hazardous
particles. This pollution is a risk to cities and rural areas worldwide affected by
air pollution.

I will attempt to decrease air pollution when travelling by choosing an eco-

friendly way of transportation. For example, riding a bicycle or carpooling with
others to minimize the amount of exhaust when separated. This would benefit
the location as I promote for clean fresh air rather than toxicity from gas and
other exhausts. This would also benefit me as I wouldn’t be at risk of major
health conditions such as lung cancer or a chronic respiratory illness.

CONCLUSION

Through here we can see interesting activities revolving around two topics
"Leisure Activities" and "Travel and Holidays". With the topic "Leisure
Activities" we see individuals sharing about their free time activities,
contributing to suggest healthy and interesting activities to add color to our time
idle. As for the theme "Travel and Holidays", it shows us how unique and
interesting it is to travel to a country during a festival time. Traveling during
festivals not only stops tourists from admiring the wonders and people here, but
this time they also directly experience culture by living in festivals, to
understand, know, and feel the culture and traditions in foreign lands.
