TRAVELLING ABROAD AND VACATION:

The law of employment security has changed starting from 1st July 2012 .
According to the new law:
 you are available for work also when you are travelling
 you have the right to employment security also during your travel
 you have no obligation to notify the TE-office of your travel
- you may give the TE-office your contact information during
the trip
NB!
 Being available for work means that the TE-office has your current and
up-to-date contact information so we can reach you.
 You may be offered jobs and TE-office services also during your
travel!
- You must contact the offered job and return from the trip to
start the agreed course or job
- If you do not contact the offered job or participate in
agreed course or other service, your unemployment
security may be cut.

NB!
- If you want to take vacation it means you are not available for work
- then you do not have the right to unemployment security
- Please notify the TE-office when your vacation starts and ends
- During your vacation you will not be offered work or courses
