The struggles of a being multilingual

"A multifaceted bookworm woman does not know how to identify

questions that are going to ask to everyone, through the following: what
type of speaker? Where did he/ she come from? Since no one taught her
to do balance usage of languages. due to in fact, she was hesitant,
horrified especially the place that she was residing is not she used to. I
felt this feeling for the reason, I was this girl in the big world that have
no idea what type of language we are going to utilize.

In fact, Coming from Calbayog City, Western Samar. being raised

from Boholano Father and Cebuano- Samarnon mother. I knew few
words of Boholano dialect from my Father and aside from that I got
involved when my mother interacts with Cebuano relatives using a
language. (For the reason my maternal grandmother is Cebuano) I kind
of understand . but I have no idea how to speak the dialect since, it is
challenging for me to use these two simultaneously, in addition to that,
the other languages I could catch up speaking fluently are Waray-Waray
my first language, English.

Consequently, it gets harder when I first move out here last January. I
started to be overwhelmed and nervous. due to in fact, I was intimidated
and overthink. what if people do not able to understand me, or I may
utter wrong dialect and misunderstood by people. I cannot stop thinking
that day until the sun rises. having an upbringing of bilingual especially
having raised to 3 varieties of Bisayan language was difficult due to in
fact, as a mentally incapacitated grasping of using two languages not
able to do that since I do not innate a skill of bilingual/multilingual
before.

However, as the months passed, since my first residence here in Cebu

this year 2023. I finally able to speak fluently and could use three
languages directly towards people without any hesitations. It was really
the greatest achievement in my life. My ultimately goal to be understood
by people and engage for certain everyday living and I can do it. through
being persevere and listening through the stranger’s conversation that
help me to remember the words clearly.
To summarize being a multilingual person who struggles to use and
speak languages is not easy. I had to practice and waiting for a right
timing for me to be able to make it perfect as saying goes , When the
time is right , I the lord make it happen ,Isaiah 60:22 This quote really
life changing , it means there is nothing wrong if you are not yet able to
get anything from now , there perfect timing and everything falls from
there. You had to stand still and do it slowly but surely. because if that
what you waiting already achieved you ultimately say you worthwhile
awaited.
