CID CONDUCTS ORIENTATION ON MULTI-YEAR GUIDELINES ON THE

IMPLEMENTATION OF RESULTS-BASED PERFORMANCE MANAGEMENT SYSTEM


- PHILIPPINE PROFESSIONAL STANDARDS FOR TEACHERS

SDO Lucena Curriculum Implementation Division through the initiative of the Public
Schools District Supervisors conducted an Orientation on DepEd Memorandum No. 8,
s. 2023 or the Multi-year Guidelines on the Implementation of Results-Based
Performance Management System - Philippine Professional Standards for Teachers in
a hybrid modality, March 1.
In order to revisit the mandates and clarify some confusing features of D.O 8, s. 2023
and to ensure effective adherence of schools in the mandated RPMS cycle in cognizant
to HR-PRIME of the Schools Division Office, a division orientation was conducted
among school heads and head teachers at Lucena City Teachers and Employees
Conference Center (LCTECC). On the other hand, Master Teacher participants
attended the orientation via YouTube live.
Four (4) sessions have been discussed during the orientation. Session 1 encapsulated
the Legal Bases of DM No. 8, s. 2023 which was delivered by the PSDS of South
District Dr. Sorina P. Gloria. Moreover, Session 2 as delivered by Dr. Chinita A.
Tolentino, PSDS of Secondary talked about the RPMS-PPST Objectives for S.Y. 2022 –
2023. The third session which revisited Classroom Observation process and protocols
and the different tools to be used during classroom observations was carried out by
North District PSDS Ms. Nancy D. La Rosa. Meanwhile, the last session delivered by
Dr. Rey Mark R. Queaño – PSDS of East District gave an in-depth look into Classroom
Observables and Non-Classroom Observable Performance Indicators for SY 2022 –
2023. Issues relative on the MOVs required per indicator was also clarified.
Prior to the orientation proper, the opening program was attended by the top
management headed by the Schools Division Superintendent Dr. Hermogenes M.
Panganiban. Their message of inspiration truly ignited the burning passion of the
participants to work on RPMS-PPST with utmost responsibility and truthfulness.
The flow of the orientation was facilitated by Ms. Ma. Consolacion V. Teñido, PSDS –
Secondary.
