COMING SCHOOL.

Kalenga (a new boy in the send form), Mutombo (a new boy),


Soki (a new girl).

Mutombo: Hello, Mutombo,


How are you?

Kalenga: Fune thanks (panting at Soki)

Kalenga: It’s Soki

Mutombo: Hello, Soki, my name’s Mutombo

Soki: Hello, Mutombo. Are you going to school?

Mutombo: Yes, I am. Are you in the first form?

Soki: Yes, I am. Are you in Kalenga form?

Mutombo: No, I’m not, I am a new boy, I’m in the first form too.

Soki: Yes, I have, I’ve got a new pen and three big exercise
Books in my school bag too (opening his bag) look at

Soki: What’s the time?

LESSON 2.

In the Classroom.

Soki, Motomba, Banda (a new boy) Mr. Kasongo (the English teacher)

Mutombo: This my desk, Soki, where’s yours?

Banda: (Coming in to the Classroom)

Banda: I’m Banda

Soki: Oh, I’m Soki, have you got your, Exercise books!

Banda: No I haven’t, I haven’t got any

Mutombo: I’ve got five look! Here they are on my desk

Soki: Where’s the teacher!

Mutombo: I don’t know

Banda: he’s got coming look! There he is

Soki: He is got a big, bag in his hand

Mr. Kasongo: (coming into the classroom)


Good morning boys and girls
Boys and girls (standing) good morning sur

Mr. Kasongo: sit down, everybody, I’m Mr. Kasongo, your English teacher
here’s your time table.
We have English on Mondays, and Tuesdays at twenty past ten.
On Thursdays and Fridays at ten past nine and on Saturdays, at
half past seven here are you English text-books now let’s do some work.

BREAK.

Soki, Mutombo, Banda, Kalenga, Okito (afourth form boy)

Soki: Look, Banda! There’s a pen on the four pick it up!

Okito: (coming in) hey! Who are you?


What are you doing? Give me that pen! It’s mine!

Banda: Oouch: don’t pull my hair! Don’t push me!

Mutombo: Don’t take that pen.


It isn’t yours, (Soki and Kalenga standing outside)

Soki: look at that big boy pulling Banda’s hair

Kalenga: where?

Soki: In the classroom look! There they are.

Kalenga: That big bag wearing a Khaki shirt and trouser?

It’s twenty past ten

Soki: When do we go home for lunch?

Kalenga: At one a clock and we have games in The Afternoon


At four o’ clock.

Soki: look! Everybody’s going into the classroom.

Kalenga: Yes, your French teacher’s coming.

Soki: Where is she?

Kalenga: there she is the tall woman in the tall woman in the red
