Balancing rising as an artist in the West Coast Canadian music scene, and being a professional
Audio Engineer & Music Producer, and in Artist Relations, Dani Lion hopes to see her music &
work with other talented artists, be recognized on the world stage. As long as she is surrounded
by music, she knows she is living out her life's purpose . Her musical style is that of the soul of
an old jazz singer, with a twist of her own unique & sultry urban soul, pop & trap essence. She
surfs the waves of melody in the many genres, as she performs the callings of her heart in
whichever direction her musical expressions may take her. She has been playing packed venues
and festivals off and on since 2010, and has a unique way of free-styling any genre . She has a
bevy of her own original compositions, with a particular taste for soul, EDM & hip-hop, she
has that urban trap edge & yet a mountainous lark essence to her vibe, bringing an aura of folk
x rock melodies . A medicine woman on stage she has a loving presence that captivates
audiences, and warms their hearts with assuring energy and a call to Creator.

Dani Lion has decided to take her passions to the next level by releasing her first music singles,
and launching her brand essence in a professional package for the world to share in her
pursuits . She recently released her first single " Losing You " February 14th, 2022 and her 2nd
single "Cherry Blossom" recently released May 20, 2022~ Dani Lion is currently curating her
debut album “ Reclamation & Resurgence “ which is about helping her people on the path
towards their healing . It will spark important topics with song anthems that are thought
provoking and culturally stir-ing in the spirit of reclamation and resurgence . She understands
healing isn’t linear, there is much grief that stems from the many pathways of trauma brought
to First Nations throughout colonization . Dani Lion is choosing to dedicate this passionate
work of songs to helping her people rise up into their traditional language, culture, colors, and
confidence . As she sings these stories, she will also sing about the pathways out of the cycles
of pain that have held us down for so long . She feels music is medicine, and it's this medicine
that will help bring us back to the light .

Dani Lion is currently based out of Vancouver BC, and has diplomas at Nimbus School of
Recording, in Advanced Studio Recording and Electronic Music Production, Audio Engineering
& Artist Development . She is currently working as Assistant Audio Engineer at Fifth Chord
Studios in New Westminster and has recently launched her very own business in the audio &
performing world; Dani Lion Music & Productions . Dani Lion had spent the latter end of 2022
working on language preservation in her community of Saik’uz First Nations using her
knowledge in the world of audio engineering and recording & vocal clean-up and mixing . She
is joining First Voices in their work to bring back Indigenous Languages across Turtle Island,
as she focuses her attention on her Carrier Dakelh dialect .

Her other free-lance work in 2022/2023 has been as an Artist Liaison, Artist Driver,
hospitality, Artist riders, and everything Artist Relations, she has years of experience in these
roles, her first festival and Artist Relations role started as a youth in 2010 ~ In 2023 Dani Lion
worked as the Audio FR Assistant with the Junos 2023 in Edmonton, and as the Host &
Producer Driver for The Amazing Race Canada in Whistler and Pemberton, along with the UBC

Centre of the Arts in March 2023 and recently hosted a spring show with First Nations hip hop
song man Aspects and renowned west coast hip hop star Snak the Ripper .

She has begun a beautiful new journey this spring 2023 following her skill sets and passions, as
the Assistant Creative Director of the first Indigenous Festival in BC, 2 Rivers Remix, and will
be helping organize and joining in on their Movable Feast Tour this summer of 2023 across BC .
Dani has been following the road to lead her to this role for many moons, and feels elated as
Creator guides her on her path .

Dani Lion is also the Artist in Residence & Artist Liaison of the Okanagan Indigenous Music &
Arts Society, started 2019, based out of Kelowna BC, where she along with her Indigi Syilx
sisterhood, have worked hard to bring light to Indigenous music & art expressions, and also
shed light on the current issues Indigenous people face daily. Her goal is to show Indigenous
people, her people, through representation of our Artists, that they are beautiful and that they
too can tell their own stories and wear their culture and dance colors proud again . Dani
showcases Indigenous #neonnative powwow colors in her brand & essence, and is a shining
example to reach for your dreams, no matter what you've had to go through to get to where
you want to be. Coming from radical colonial evangelism and a Rez life upbringing in northern
Canada, she has a pretty interesting story to tell . First of her tribe to go to school for music,
she is pioneering a new life of hopes and dreams, for her people . Her words to live by are : Use
your voice ♡
