My name is Ali and I am a freshman at Virginia Tech studying Dairy Science. My goal after graduation is
to apply to veterinary school. I am deeply passionate about animal welfare and learning all I can in
animal medicine. I personally have been surrounded by livestock and large animal medicine for a large
portion of my life through 4-H. Through 4-H, I have been able to raise dairy heifers every year and have
learned to care for them and understand how to handle large animals. I also have been a member of the
dairy cattle judging team for my state where I learned quick decision making, and clear verbal reasoning.
My prior experience with livestock and quick, and clear verbal communication skills would make me a
perfect candidate.

I am certain that I can be an asset in any position I am put in and am willing to put in the hard work. I
