Winston Churchill

Was an inspirational statesman, writer, orator, and leader who led Britain to victory in the Second World
War. He served as Prime Minister twice, also in 1953 he was awarded the Nobel Prize in Literature for his
mastery of historical and biographical description, as well as excellent speeches in defense of high
human values.

I am convinced that this person had the qualities of a great manager or leader.

For me the most important qualities of a leader that Churchill had:

Effective and flexible team management

He was able to governed the British Empire twice in one of the most difficult periods in the history of this

country He was great at adapting his decisions to world politics, which changed daily

Creativity
As a commander, he became famous for many creative plans. He used many technological innovations
that allowed Great Britain to develop during his period of government.

One of his greatest achievement was Dunkirk Operation.

Helping the Allies escape from occupied France during the attack of the Third Reich

Decisiveness
He was often forced to make stressful and long-term decisions, and in such difficult situations he was able
to make them rationally and objectively. He is considered as one of the best strategists and writers of the
twentieth century.

Source of inspiration and motivation

This can be seen in his speeches that went down in history, due to his great choice of words and the
charisma he put into them.

Apparently, he prepared many hours for his speeches.

His most well-known and most quoted speeches are those known usually as

'Blood, toil, tears and sweat'

to inspire the British to keep fighting against a Nazi Germany and

THE SINEWS OF PEACE (‘IRON CURTAIN SPEECH’)

in which he stressed the necessity for the United States and Britain to act as the guardians of peace and
stability against the menace of Soviet communism

To sum up, I think that Winston Churchill's achievements during his life emphasized the fact that like few
others he had the ability to lead people.
