Dear Ms. Le Thi Giao Chi &
Ms. Le Thi Ngoc Phuong,
Your dedicated ways of teaching, friendly attitude, and
most of all your inspiring words and actions have brought
tremendous changes in me. This course plays a significant
role in molding me into a better student. No words can
describe how grateful I am to become a part of the course
and to be guided by you both. I, once again, would like to
express my gratitude towards you both for your support.

With regards,
Van Anh

What is Writie Bees?
Writie Bees is a project aimed at helping English learners improve their writing
skills as well as other communicating skills such as listening, reading and speaking
via podcasts, videos, and mini games.

After more than two months, we have carried out 1 fanpage, 1 podcast channel,
and 2 mini games for our audiences.

Inspired by the meticulous and hard-working bees, we chose the name Writie Bees
in the hope that the bees' spirit could be inherited and that our audience could
become life-long learners like the bees keep on building their hive no matter what
happens.

TWO BIG
LESSONS
(WHAT I HAVE LEARNT)

Lesson 1: Not all classrooms have four walls

I have been taught all the time since I was a little child that knowledge could
only be obtained in a traditional classroom. PBL told me the opposite that
knowledge could be learned in a completely different way that allows students
to explore and create and the teacher only guides the students but not shows
them all of the answers.

Thanks to PBL, I understand deeply that some of

the greatest learning takes place not when a
student walks into a classroom but rather when a
student walks out of it. By doing my own project,
I have walked not only out of my traditional
paths of learning but also ventured out of my
comfort zone and tried my best. This special
classroom of PBL has broadened my horizons,
allow me to become braver, and inspire me to keep
on nurturing my love for pure knowledge.

Lesson 2: To think outside of the box

To be honest, I always think of myself as a person who does not have the
gut to do any side projects because I used to believe that I do not have
any talents or the ability to create something new. However, my
perception has been changed completely after I listened to Ms. Giao Chi
and Ngoc Phuong's lecture on PBL. Ms. Chi and Ms. Phuong have encouraged
me to believe in myself, made me doubt my fixed belief that I could not do
anything, and challenged me to think outside of the box. Writie Bees has
come to life, thanks to my teachers' advice. When I think of the reason I
and my teammates decided to come up with this idea, I can not recall how
many times we argued and discussed, but I do remember one thing we
always remind ourselves: "Think outside of the box. Do something
different!"

My products
During the last two months, I was in charge of managing the whole
team's work progress, recording podcasts, making videos, and
creating content on the Facebook page of Writie Bees. I especially
love recording podcasts as the process of producing a podcast
requires me to be patient as well as to be accurate when I was
pronouncing one single word. In addition, I also really enjoyed
creating content on Facebook. The idea that Writie Bee's audience
could be able to learn new tips about writing and learning English is
extremely fascinating to me and I could not wait to read the
comments they left below each post.

The only thing that I find it challenging to do is manage the whole

team's work progress. I have to admit that there were many things
we disagreed with each other. However, each of us did try to listen
to the other's ideas and make an effort to solve the problem. Team
working, eventually, is one of the most crucial skills that I have
learned when working on the project.

My feelings
I would like to express my gratitude to my teammates. Without them, Writie Bees could
be just a draft idea. Although we are very different from each other and each of us is
a unique personality, we have managed to collaborate and stand together to produce
Writie Bees. Moreover, thanks to my teammates, I have learned and grown a lot. My
teammates taught me to become more disciplined, and open-minded. Their patience when
listening to my ideas encouraged me to be more confident, which means a lot to me. I am
proud of what we did together. Even though we are not perfect and our project still
has some mistakes, I strongly believe that Writie Bees is a memorable parts of my
academic journey.

My hope
Launching Writie Bees with my teammates is one
of the most important milestones I've achieved
this semester so far. The lessons and experiences
I have gained while working on the project are
values that will help strengthen my teaching skills
in the future. I hope that I could inspire my
students to make their own projects so that
they can learn interesting lessons. For me, that
is a successful outcome for a teacher.
