Food for the Soul

Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives; he who seeks finds; and to him who knocks, the door will be opened. Matt. 7:7-8 Sometimes we ask God for things, but when he gives us what we ask for we are less than ready and prepared. When we ask God for something in life we have to be prepared to receive that in which we ask. For instance, if we asked God for patience we can count on God to place us in positions that will make us gain that patience. If we ask God for strength, God will give us obstacles to overcome so that we can build our strength. So before you ask Ask yourself: Am I ready?
