Bob’s Pranks

Long ago, there lived a bear in a forest. His name was Bob. Bob was
always laughing and having fun. He often used to play pranks on others.
Making fun of others was his favourite pastime. Many times, Bob’s friends had
advised him to refine his ways. But Bob would never listen.

One day, Bob said, “Let’s organize a race. The loser will have to arrange
for a feast in the forest.”

“That would be great,” nodded the deer. All of them then began to
prepare for the race. On the stipulated day, all the animals arrived one by one.
They assembled at a certain place.

“Let me be the judge, Bob!” said the fox, “ I won’t be able to run!”

“Fine……as you wish!” said Bob.

The race began, the fox commanded, “1,2,3, GO!” All the participants
rushed towards the finishing line. But Bob deliberately walked slow, and was
the last one to reach the finishing line.

“Oh, I lost!!” he said.

“What about the feast, Bob?” asked the elephant.

“Forget it!” said Bob, “That was just a joke.”

The animals felt bad. They were quite annoyed by Bob’s pranks. But they
didn’t say anything to Bob.

Some days later, Bob thought of another prank. So, he suggested that they
all go swimming. The animals agreed, “Let’s see who wins!” said Bob, as they
all jumped into the water and began to swim. Bob swam fast. But half-way
down the stream, he began to drown. “Oh… no! I am drowning!” he cried.
 But no one cared to look at Bob. They all thought Bob must be playing a
new prank.

“He wants us to slow down,” said the monkey, “Get going, friends!” But
“Help! Help! I’m drowning !” Bob kept calling for help.

Suddenly, they realized that Bob was drowning. The elephant and the
monkey pulled Bob to the bank. Bobs was saved. He thanked the monkey and
the elephant. “You came to my rescue on time,” said Bob.

“I have realized my mistake,” Bob said. “ Fun should never become

menace, Bob!” said the monkey.

“Have fun, but don”t annoy others. Or else, no one will love you or care
for you,” the monkey said.

Bob promised to reform his ways. “I will never play pranks or make fun
of others, “ he said.

He also invited all the animals for a feast. Thet all had a good time,
laughing and playing together.
