STAGE ACTIVITIES TIMING

1. LEAD - IN Teacher salutes the pupils and asks them how they are feeling. She checks absents and
whether they had homework or not. 5min

2. COMPREHENSION TASK Pupils are introduced to the topic of the new lesson. Teacher writes the
title of the lesson on the blackboard and presents the main activities of the lesson, i.e. discussing some
grammar issues. 5min

3. GRAMMAR

a. Presentation

The teacher explains what uncountable nouns are. She writes several examples on the
blackboard and provides the pupils the ways in which this kind of nouns can be counted. 15min

b. Practice

She will have then, several pupils read a short dialogue in which this kind of nouns
predominates. 10min

c. Production The teacher asks the pupils to read a text silently and then put the right words in the
missing gaps. 10min

4. FEED - BACK The pupils are asked to solve some exercises relevant to the topic. In this way, the
teacher checks whether they have understood or not. 5min

5. HOMEWORK Teacher gives the pupils an exercise which deals with the topic discussed during the
lesson.
