The Calibration procedure of Pressure transmitter (PL-40)

-Side type-

If this is side mounting type pressure transmitter with an isolating valve, please close
the isolating valve completely and open the drain & test plug completely and then, the
liquid inside isolating valve will be came out. Please wait for 3~5 minute at least.

-Submersible Type-

Please separate the pressure transmitter or make an empty condition on the tank. And,
check whether cable condition is good or defective if possible.
Please check the output current value (mA) of pressure transmitter (Loop current) by
using the multi-meter. For reference, the current value (mA) of the pressure transmitter
should be indicating to 4mA at the empty condition.

a) If the output current value of the sensor is not indicating to 4mA(+/_0.02),

please adjust the zero potentiometer on PCB to 4mA with minus (-) screwdriver.
At this time, please do not touch the span potentiometer.
b) In case KFDO type barrier is installed on the relevant tank, please adjust the
zero potentiometer on PCB to 3.86mA with minus (-) screwdriver because of
current consumption of barrier.
If you carry out zero setting, please compare the actual level (volume) with C.R.T value
(volume) after ballasting tank at the even keel condition.

At this time, if there is much level (volume) difference, you should check the voltage
value with sensor and without sensor at empty condition again referring to below
pictures.
These data are very useful for us since we can confirm whether the transducer or
amplifier is defective. Then, fill out the following table for each tank.

Moreover, please check the resistance value generated by sensor cable with multi-
meter after disconnecting the sensor from the amplifier and then complete the
following table.
