MOTIVATIONAL LETTER FOR THE SEPT MBA IN SMALL AND MEDIUM-

SIZED ENTERPRISE DEVELOPMENT AT THE UNIVERSITY OF LEIPZIG

THROUGH DAAD EPOS SCHOLARSHIP
“If you think education is expensive, wait until you see how much ignorance costs.” Barrack
Obama (President of the United States of America, 2008-2016).
The DAAD EPOS Scholarship encourages me to purse my educational goal to the high
educational institutes which offers better knowledge and quality education in Germany. The
Germany education standards impressed me a lot by how it is one of the first growing
economy, technological advancement, research based and global ranking educational
universities. To study in Germany will help me to increase knowledge in Small and Medium-
Sized Enterprise Development at the University of Leipzig (Leipzig, Saxony: the coming
Berlin) which is the second oldest university in the whole Germany and it is among 18 oldest
universities in the whole Europe. To study there will help to understand deeper the European
culture and research nature in terms of business and politics. It will be also a huge exposure and
a strong networking that will help me to connect business from my country with the great party
of the World.

I am MANIRAMPAYE ALAIN JUPIN, Entrepreneur, Charismatic Leader, Society

influencer, emotionally intelligent, Bachelor Degree holder in Business Administration
majoring Production and Operations Management with cumulative GPA of 3.20/4,
Husband and Father of two loving children. Born on 25th of November 1994, I lost my parents
at 2 years old and was raised with a single aunt who struggled emotionally and financially from
her small dairy wages in order to see me accomplish educational goals. At High School, I was
to let school for missing school fees and materials but because I was in top ten bright orphan
student, the school connected us with an International Non-Government Organization named
YOUTHGLOBE based in Burundi, South Korea and United States of America and this makes
finish successful my high school degree. At Bachelor Degree level, I got a privileged to take
apart of top ten bright under diminished student who got scholarship at International University
of Equator where I exercised a lot of activities including to participate in debate (on economic
development subjects) and researchers’ team of the university in Business Administration
Department. At the end of my degree, I put together 50 young men and women, and started a
company named COMMON VISION COMPANY in which under my leadership, the
company won an Inter-African Business plan competition and got 5000 USD as a seed capital
through The Tony Elumelu Foundation based in Nigeria and I also participate in a lot of
international trainings including Google Digital Training on 21st Century with the 4th Industry
Revolution held in Uganda under Kafeero Foundation.

Because I was born in a country which is in the top number one last under developed countries
Worldwide (World Economic Ranks 2021), with young population estimated at 65% of the
whole population and with 90% of its population are living because agriculture but with no
proper knowledge in the Economics to help the country use its resources to develop itself. So,
to study Small and Medium-Sized Enterprise Development under the DAAD EPOS
Scholarship will help my country Burundi to learn from me what can make the country prosper
as many countries’ Economy was raised by small and medium Enterprises. And Germany being
the 4th Economy in the whole world, the 1st in the whole Europe, is a living and relevant example
for our small country Burundi.
Arriving in Germany, here are my goals and study plan:
➢ My ultimate goal is to obtain a Master’s Degree in Small and Medium-Sized
Enterprise Development with at least the German cumulative GPA of 2.0 and have a
deep understanding on Germany Culture in general.
➢ As an entrepreneur and leader, with interest in Advanced industries, I will further my
research on top Germany industries so that I may know the secret used for thriving all
of those years in the World’s economy.
➢ I will make myself an asset of the university through participating in different research
project or any opportunities available regarding to international development.
My Future Plans after getting Master’s Degree in Small and Medium-Sized Enterprise
Development are as follows:
➢ If given an opportunity, I will continue with Doctoral (PhD.) Degree.
➢ I work for a multinational company so that I can put theories to practices.
➢ I will encourage Burundians to do business with Germany People.
➢ I will convince the Germany multinational company to come and open branches in
Burundi (a virgin country in the development). This strategy will create jobs and extra
incomes to both countries.
