Design Brief

A friend of ours bought a plot of land next to the river which our friend wants to build as a camping site.
Pitches next to the river for camping and outdoor activities have been set up already. Ablution facilities
still need to be set before camping activities. Storage room needs to be turned into ablution facilities. Ur
friend approaches you to help plan for the construction of the ablution facility.

2. Process to follow
Give a brief explanation of the scenario and write the specification and the constraints. Do research on
the given topic the design possible ideas of the ablution facility and evaluate them. After the evaluation,
the final solution will undergo further adjustment to improve the quality of the drawing and the designs
will be represented.

3. List of the specification

 Single storey building must be converted in separate man and women bathroom.
 The men and women facility must have two toilets, two showers, two hand wash basins
and a bath.
 The men must have a wall mounted urinal, the female must have an extra toilet.
 Each shower must be large enough to dry clothes.
 Doors of the dis abled must be provided with a ramp.
 Office must face north and have enough electricity power socket outlet to supply
electricity.
 Dish washing area must have four mounted lights.
 Bathrooms must have one ceiling lights, disabled bathroom must have one ceiling light.
 The hot water must be supplied by a 500-liter hot water geyser.
 There must be 5,000-litre hot water geyser tank for the bathrooms and washing area
and 2,500-litre water tank for the disabled bathroom.
 4. List of constraints
 Must not exceed 250m
 Rooms must be separated by a single wall
 Doors must serve as entrances to either men or women bathroom
 ND511 windows must be replaced with NE11 Windows
 NE11 window must be put above each toilet
