them. Some stereotypes about French people are that because Paris is the fashion capital
of the world, they are very stylish. Most of the fashion trends are defined by French
models or designers. Additionally, Paris fashion week is one of the most memorable
catwalks every year. Related to this, Parisians are very concerned and careful about their
appearance. However, French people are considered to be arrogant and sybaritic.
In terms of what they think of the Spanish, French people assume that Spanish are loud
and gesticulate a lot when they talk. French also think that Spain is a nice destination for
holidays, specially, the Mediterranean coast.

Some stereotypes about French people are good style, the fashion capital of the world,

drug cartels. This stereotype is close to reality as citizens and tourists try to avoid
specific areas where they might become a victim, even at any time of the day.
This stereotype is exacerbated by the corruption which characterized the political
system in Mexico. On the other hand, Mexico is famous for its spicy food. We can see
Mexican restaurants across Spain which offer authentic tacos, frijoles or chiles.
Additionally, Mexicans are known for their tequila.
Mexican people like our culture, the Spanish people, and the importance that the
Spanish place on the family. They are also as passionate about soccer (teams like Real
Madrid, Barcelona), as native Spanish are. However, they think we are closed and
cutting but they also consider that we are brothers because we share the same language.

Japon is considered to be one of the safest countries in the world. It has a low crime
rate. Its public transport also runs very smoothly, and is clean, modern and punctual.
Japanese people are seen as hardworking, at the expense of their private personal lives.

Although these stereotypes might be true in many cases, there are also other perceptions
of Japanese which aren’t based on reality. For instance, they only wear kimonos for
special celebrations and not for daily life. Some think they only eat rice and sushi, but in
reality they have a diverse variety of dishes.
