Progress Meeting of the PhD Thesis

Ahmad Mahbubul Alam

INSA de Rennes

12.12.2014
Action Items
1. Find out the maximum authorised Effective Isotropic Radiated Power (EIRP).
61dBm/5 MHz to 65 dBm/5MHz in FDD downlink (in-block)
2. Find out the reason of (1) the mismatch between numeric solution and solution
obtained from EE vs SE curve for SEopt , (2) glitches on the curve plotted from
EE vs SE and (3) stepped variation of Ptopt .
-Less number of points
-Missing ln2
3. Modify the equation of SE (divide C by w. Not by w/K) and then plot the
curves again. Take rH = 0.5 km. Also take r = rH for parameter K and alpha.
Section 1
4. For showing the effect of r, consider the worst case of interference (Or take the
interferring BS power as different from the desired BS power).
Section 2
5. Plot also SIRopt , SNRopt for different parameters.
Section 1 and 2
6. Simulate f(v) for different alpha and K.
Section 3
7. Curve fitting.
Section 4
E. Commission, “On the harmonisation of the frequency bands 1 920-1 980
mhz and 2 110-2 170 mhz for terrestrial systems capable of providing electronic
communications services in the union,” tech. rep., European Commission, 2012
