I. Learning Objectives:
At the end of the lesson, 95% of Grade 9 - Cypress class will be able to:
a) identify the different composers and their works during the Classical
Period;
b) listen attentively on the different recordings and works of the different
composers; and
c) present a 2 minute drama in a silent form using classical music.
A. Activity
“Your Sound looks Familiar”
The students will be divided into four groups, and prepare ½
crosswise.
The teacher will prepare different Classical Music and played it to
the class.
All members of the group will cover their eyes with their hands or
handkerchief every time there’s a music playing and listen
attentively. After listening to it, they will write their observation or
provide a description.
Each group then will choose a music that really got their heart and
explain why they chose it.
After, the teacher will call some members of the group to
synthesize what they’ve just listened.

Does the music being played composed of a single instrument? Or two or

“Silent Mode Drama”
On the same group, the students will present a two minute silent
drama and use the Classical Music that they’ve chose on the first
activity as the background music.
They will choose different scenarios of their choice.
There will be 1 point deduction if they will exceed on the given 2
minute time.
They are given 7 minutes to prepare and present in front after.
The will be graded based on the following criteria:
