Motivational (Activity)
The teacher will ask the students to be ready for their motivational activity. The
teacher will divided into 5 groups and the students will identify the picture
puzzle. The teacher will ask the students what are connection or if the students
have their insights about the lesson that will be discussed.

(Analysis)
The teacher will show a Power Point and discuss the lives, musical achievements, works of
Francsico Buencamino, Francisco Santiago, Nicanor Abelardo, Antonio Molina, Hilarion Rubio,
Col. Antonio Buenaventura, Rodolfo Cornejo, Felipe Padilla de Leon Sr., Lucio San Pedro,
Rosendo Santos Jr., Alfredo Buenaventura, Ryan Cayabyab.
The learners will watch and listens to the musical examples of the composers;
(a) Larawan and Mayon Fantasy by Francisco Buencamino performed by Cecile Licad,
International concert pianist.

C. Engagement The teacher will show an image of composers and learners will identify each picture.
__________________1. He started learning music at a young age and by the age of 12, he
could already play the organ.
__________________2. He is often referred to as "The Father of Kundiman Art Song.”
__________________3. He was also the founder-president of the Filipino Bandmasters'
Association and a professor of music theory and composition at the University of the
Philippines Conservatory of Music.

He introduced various musical techniques and scales, including the whole-tone scale,
pentatonic scale, and linear counterpoints.

with Gelacio Reyes when he was just six years old.

with a degree in music composition. He went on to teach music theory and composition at the
university for nearly two decades.
