I. OBJECTIVES
At the end of the lesson, learners should be able to:
1. discuss the life of the selected contemporary Filipino composer/s;
2. cite an example of how to promote traditional music to the younger generation; and
3. present and point out the characteristics of the musical style of the mentioned
Filipino composers.

II. CONTENT
A. Topic: Traditional Composers (Continuation of the lesson)

Learner’s Material. HORIZONS Music and Arts Appreciation for Young Filipinos.
Philippines: Tawid Publications, 2015.
C. Materials: Ppt, laptop, speaker, and television.

III. PROCEDURE

 The students will share their knowledge about the lesson taught
yesterday.

B. Motivation
 The teacher will play a song entitled “Awit ni Maria Clara”,
composed by Antonio J. Molina.
 The students will give their observations about the music they
heard.

  The teacher will discuss and present the life of the remaining traditional
composers using a Powerpoint presentation.
 The students will give their comments and suggestions about the lesson.

 The students will write an essay on how they promote traditional music to
