child under the age of 3 years old or (under certain circumstances) an adoptive child under the age
of 7 years old. This guide does not apply to agency workers or the self-employed. Employed agency
workers should contact their agency regarding their parental leave rights.

The Company is committed to equality of opportunity in employment and promoting the diversity
of our workforce, including assisting those who are parents to a child. This guide sets out the
assistance the Company provides during and following parental leave.

Please read through the guide carefully and ensure that you comply with the relevant notice
requirements (see below). If you have any questions in relation to your parental leave rights, you
should contact EMEA HR Ops team through “Request Help from HR”.

Note: This guide only reflects the current statutory framework on parental leave in the Czech
Republic. The Company takes no responsibility for the correctness and completeness of this
information. No claims against the Company can be established based on the information in this
guide.

I want to take parental leave – when do I need to tell the Company?

You should inform the Company about your intention to take parental leave and your proposed
leave dates as early as possible in order that we can plan for your absence accordingly and no later
than 8 weeks prior to the first date of the parental leave period.

You should send the following information/documentation to EMEA HR Ops team through “Request
Help from HR” as soon as possible:

• a copy of the child’s birth certificate (when you have this); and

• written confirmation of the dates you want to take leave.

HR will write to you to confirm the dates on which you intend to start and return from your parental
leave.

Please, make sure you also inform Czech Labour Office about your Parental leave from your side
directly. They will inform you about the further steps how to obtain the Parental contribution from
the state (“Rodičovský příspěvek”).

maternity leave.

If you are the father of the child you may take parental leave at any time after the birth of the
child.

Mothers and fathers may take leave for the entire period up until the child's 3rd birthday, or for
one or more parts of this period. Parents can take this leave at the same time, or at different
times.

If you are adopting a child, please contact EMEAHROps@expedia.com for details of your leave
and pay entitlements.

Can I work during my parental leave?

You can take parental leave in one or more blocks and return to work in between any periods of
leave. You should confirm your proposed leave dates as early as possible in order that we can plan
for your absence accordingly and no later than 8 weeks prior to the first date of the leave block.

Do I continue to receive salary payments and benefits during parental leave?

You are not entitled to be paid by the Company during any period of parental leave. However, you
will be entitled to receive state “parental allowance” paid by the Labour Office, unless the other
parent is claiming this – Note: if both parents apply for parental leave only one of them may
receive the state allowance.

In relation to children under the age of 2, the allowance is only payable if the child does not attend
a nursery for more than 46 hours per month. The allowance is set at a maximum total per child (CZK
300,000) and it is payable until the child reaches the age of 4.

Further information about the state allowance can be found here:

How will parental leave affect my holidays?

parental leave taken by a male employee in the period in which a female employee is entitled to

What are the arrangements for my return to work?

At the end of your parental leave you are entitled to return to the same type of job as per your
employment contract and on no less favourable terms and conditions of employment.

You must notify the Company in writing of your intended return date at the same time as providing
the written confirmation of intended parental leave start date.

If you wish to return earlier or later than your stated return date, please let us know as early as
possible but in any case at least 12 weeks before the new return date. Any agreement to permit you
to return to work early is at the Company’s absolute discretion.

If you decide that you do not wish to return to work, you should notify your line manager and HR as
soon as possible and you must give notice of resignation in accordance with your contract of
employment. The amount of parental leave left to run when you give notice must be at least equal
to your notice period, otherwise we may require you to return to work after your parental leave
and for the remainder of your notice period.

Can I extend my parental leave?

Yes, with approval from the Company you may be allowed to extend parental leave up to your
