Takane Shijou (四条貴音 Shijou Takane) is an idol from 765 Production who is

allegedly from Kyoto. She was introduced in THE iDOLM@STER SP.

In THE iDOLM@STER SP: Wandering Star, she was originally a rival idol from 961
Production. Takane joined 765 Production as of THE iDOLM@STER 2nd Vision. She has
been available in all the 2nd Vision console games, and the mobile games THE
iDOLM@STER Million Live! and THE iDOLM@STER Million Live! Theater Days.

She is voiced by Yumi Hara (原由実 Hara Yumi).

Takane Shijou is an elegant and majestic figure, known as "The Silver Queen" by her
fans in the game. Introduced in SP, she is also known as the "Vocal Master" of 961
Production, rivaling, and even supposedly surpassing Chihaya's ability. Described
as a princess by Ami and Mami Futami, Takane's defining trait is her gentle yet
dignified demeanor, often speaking in a somewhat old-fashioned style and being
polite to anyone she meets, including her own rivals. She often refers to others
using their full name along with honorifics and calls the Producer "anata-sama",
which is traditionally only used as an extremely polite form of saying "you" or
when a wife is talking to her husband.

Takane's past is heavily shrouded in mystery, evidenced by her hometown being

listed as "Kyoto?" in game. In SP, she claims to have become an idol in order to
encourage and give hope to the troubled in her hometown. While not originally from
Kyoto, she was raised there by a wealthy family and has been shown to be close with
her butler, Jiiya. She is also known to have a younger sister. The mystery
surrounding Takane's past in addition to her association with the moon has led
rumors to spread that Takane is actually originally from the moon, which has been
played with in the series in instances such as her being depicted as Kaguya-hime.

Takane's wealthy upbringing has played a significant role in defining her character
and interests. She has a strong interest in history and astronomy, a passion for
music and stage shows, and has been shown to be incredibly wise, almost comparable
to that of Ritsuko's intellect. However, she's also somewhat naive of the world as
a result of her sheltered upbringing. In SP, she initially wasn't even aware of
what ramen was, which has since become her all-time favorite food. Her naïveté has
also led her to being on the receiving end of many of Ami and Mami's pranks. Even
more notably, she's been shown to even be somewhat of a crybaby and struggles
greatly with loneliness, describing it in iDOLM@STER 2 as the one thing she fears
the most, causing her to strongly value the relationships she has with both her
fellow idols and her Producer.

Despite her mature nature, Takane has also been shown to have a comedic side to
her. Her gluttonous nature is often played for laughs, with Takane being capable of
devouring dozens of ramen bowls in a single sitting. Around other idols, she's been
seen as a bit of a tease, particularly with Hibiki Ganaha in skits from the THE
IDOLM@STER STATION!!! radio show and Roco Handa in the Million Live! series. In the
anime and Million Live! Theater Days, she is shown to be incredibly fond of silly
mascot outfits, having been seen dressing up as a frog and a black cat
respectively. In the Puchimasu! manga series, she has an extreme fondness for the
puchidols, often getting nosebleeds when witnessing one of the puchidols doing
something cute.

Takane's favorite food is ramen, more specifically just the broth in the ramen,
though her butler tells her to not drink the broth only due to bad manners.
Takane suffers from Ophidiophobia for unknown reasons. [3]
According to the release of the 961 Production キャラ☆メル drama CD, Takane enjoys
squishing meat buns. It took her a while to figure out that they are edible.
Takane loves to watch shows that are meant for children and toddlers, and she also
loves to play with children, which it helps her for being the MC of a children show
in anime's episode 14.
According to one of her Million Live! character cards, Takane used to play the koto
as a child.
According to her bio in THE iDOLM@STER Million Live! Theater Days, her hometown is
listed as Kyoto? (京都市?). Whether this is her real hometown or if this is a
reference to the other idols guessing this is where she is from is unknown.
During the 2015 iM@S 10th anniversary interview, Akihiro Ishihara said, "Takane is
from Kyoto." [1]
Mentioned in the games and manga series, Takane has an unnamed younger sister. In
THE iDOLM@STER Million Live! Theater Days, it is stated that her sister lives very
far away.
Takane shares the same birthday as her voice actress Yumi Hara, and with the
Cinderella Girls characters Mai Fukuyama and Kumiko Matsuyama.
Takane's image songs, when put together, refer to the Japanese concept of 花鳥風月
(Kachou Fuugetsu), a phrase that refers to the themes in traditional Japanese
aesthetics and the Japanese sense of beauty found through nature.
花 (flower): Flower Girl or Koibana
鳥 (bird): Hi no Tori
風 (wind): Kazahana
月 (moon): Futatsu no Tsuki
Incidentally, she is part of the unit Kachou Fuugetsu with Chihaya in the THE
iDOLM@STER 2 The world is all one!! manga.
Takane is the tallest 765 Production idol. Until the release of Cinderella Girls
which introduces Kirari Moroboshi, she was the tallest character in the franchise
(currently, Amehiko Kuzunoha is the tallest).
In her pre-awakened version "EVERYDAY WAVE!!" card, she appears as ARCANA unit that
partakes of hunting food recipe show, which it also shows " Doko ni Aru Kana?" text
that makes the pun of that unit.

Because Takane appears and disappears in random places, she is known to be the
tsukkomi (interfering) character of the series, often appearing out of nowhere to
say something towards the person and just simply leave.
Fans sometimes pair her with Michiru Enjoji in fanworks, where she visits his ramen
shop.
