We are only as strong as we are united, as weak as we are divided.

Good morning to all of you. Today, we are celebrating United Nations Day with the main theme, “ The
maintenance of international peace and security, the promotion of sustainable development, the protection of
human rights and the guarantee of international law and humanitarian action.

To start this activity, may I request everybody to please stand for a prayer, to be led to us by the Grade 1 pupils
and to be followed by the singing of the Philippine National Anthem with Mr. Adriano Verano conducting.
Let us bow down our heads and the presence of the Lord as we pray.

I know everybody is excited now, since this is again the first time in the history of Buhang-Annex Elem. School.
Iknow most of you is thrilled who will be our Little Miss UN and Miss UN 2023.

Now to formally welcome us in this morning’s event, let’s join our hands together to our PTA President ---- Mrs.
Marivic E. Felizarte, in her message.

Thank you for that message.

As usual, since this is a school activity, this would not be complete without the participation of the pupils. So,
may I call on the Kindergarten pupils to be on stage now for their presentation and this will be followed by a
presentation from the Grade 1 pupils.

Thank you kids, that was an awesome performance.

And now, the most awaited part of this program the Little Miss UN and Miss UN 2023 Competition. Are you all
excited?

Our Little Miss UN is compose of 2 candidates for Kindergarten, 1 for grade 1, 2 for grade 2 and 1 for grade 3.
They will be competing for the Little Miss UN Crown. And also Miss UN 2023 is compose of candidates from
grade 4, 5 and 6. These 3 candidates will compete for the crown Miss UN 2023.

I think our candidates is ready, so let’s not prolong the agony of waiting. Let’s give it up ladies and gentlemen for
our 9 lovely Miss UN 2023 candidates in their production number.

Wow! What an excellent performance, good job girls! Patikim palang yon…

For now, while our candidates is preparing for the next contest category, we will be entertain first by a
presentation from grade 2 and to be followed again the grade 3 pupils. Grade 2 the stage is yours now, let’s give
the grade 2 pupils a big round of applause.

Thank you children for that entertaining performance.

Moving on, let’s welcome back the candidates and witness them as they showcase their talents. Let’s see who
has the best moves, best acting or the best voice. Here is the talent portion…and let’s welcome candidate no. 1.

Another wow! I’m really impressed with their performance, they are not only beautiful they are also talented
right?

Yes! Our candidates are not just made up of beautiful faces but they are also talented, mga talentadong bata.
Great job!

At this juncture, we will give chance again to other pupils to stand out on stage as they entertain us with their
presentation. A resounding applause please for the grade 4 pupils.

For the information of everybody, I will give details for the specials awards that our candidates will be receiving.
Our 9 candidates is competing for 4 Special Awards------- the Best in Production Number, Best in Talent, Most
Magnificent Country Greetings and Best in Costume.

Now, this wouldn’t be a competition if there was no one to judge. To choose the best among the candidates, the

There they are. The people who will be responsible for deciding who will be our Miss UN 2023. We will be
responsible… So, help us God! I think we will be having hard time in choosing the best among the candidates.

And now, we will be entertained again by another presentation from Grade V pupils. Let’s give them a round of

So, while our candidates are preparing for their costume, Sorry you are waiting but they are preparing the best
for us. This time, let the grade 6 pupils entertain us with a dance number. Grade 6, it’s your time to shine. A big
round of applause please.

As the name of this celebration says, this event would not be complete without this category. United Nations is
an international organization, which currently comprises of 193 member states. To commemorate some of those
countries, our candidates will show to us the costume of the country they are representing. Ladies and
gentlemen this is one of the most exciting part of this competition. Let’s all welcome our candidates in their
country’s costume with candidate no. 1, Miss Japan.

Finally, our candidates is ready so keep an eye everyone. And to bring you to the next level of excitement, let’s all
welcome our candidates in their country’s costume..

On stage is Miss Japan. She is Margi J. Jamosin, a grade 5 pupil. Margi is wearing the Traditional dress of Japan,
which is generally made of silk, have a large sleeves and reach from the shoulders all the way down to the heels.
It is tied with a wide belt called an Obi. It was believed to live for a thousand years and to inhabit the land of the
immortals, the kimono is a symbol of longevity and good fortune. Margi J. Jamosin is representing Japan.

Now, Miss Brazil. Miss Brazil is Bernadette is Delfin, a grade 6 pupil. Bernadette is wearing a Brazilian Traditional
clothing called Baiana. The Baiana dress originates from the region of Bahia. The dress is made of breathable
fabric and the skirt is round. Bernadette’s Baiana dress inspired the popular Brazilian Samba singer and actress of
1940s and 1950s Carmen Miranda. She used to wear a modified baiana dress that became popular in Brazil and
abroad. The dress is multicolored and it is worn with net stackins, high heels and big earings. The turban is
decorated with plastic feathers and flowers. Bernabette S. Delfin is representing Brazil.
We have now candidate no. 3. Candidate no. 3 is also Miss Japan. She is Hannah Vanessa Quillo Espinorio, a
grade 4 Pupil. Hanna Vanessa is wearing

My friends help me welcome once again the candidates in their costume. There you have it ladies and gentlemen
our candidates in their chosen country’s costume. Again, a big big round of applause for our lovely candidates.

Wow! All of you, look so gorgeous in your respective costumes.

I think the judges, have already decided who will be their best in costume. Thank you candidates, you may now
exit.

That completes the final leg of this pageant. Now, for the moment you’ve all been waiting for. We will be heading
to the announcement of winners for Special Awards!

For now the result is not yet ready. While waiting for the result, we will have an awarding first of Best in
Costumes during the parade this morning.. We will be having 10 best in costume for girls and 10 also for boys.

This time, we would like to thank and express our deepest appreciation to all the parents for always supporting
the activities of the school. A special thanks to the parents of our Little and Miss UN 2023 candidates, without
your cooperation this occasion would not be possible.

:Now, we will be moving on to the most anticipated moment of this event…the announcement of winners.

The result is ready and it is with me now..so hold your breath everyone.

I feel nervous at the same time excited! But the question is, are you guys excited to know the winners?

Looks like you’re more than ready. The crowd looks very excited. Again may we call on our candidates to be on
stage now for we will be awarding the winners.

I hate to see these lovely candidates and their parents suffer the suspense some moment longer. Let’s see who is
going home with the glory and be hailed as the title holder.
