ECONOMIC ACTIVITIES:

Purok 1 Bogac District, Mangagoy, Bislig City, hosts a diverse range of economic activities
to serve its community, with a strong emphasis on supporting nearby students. These include
a hotel/dormitory providing accommodation, a bakery owned by Estrella offering fresh baked
goods, a bowling alley transformed into rental spaces for a pharmacy, motor and auto parts
repair services, a photocopy and xerox center catering to student needs, and a beauty salon.
Additionally, there's a sari-sari store for everyday items and a significant presence of
boarding houses and rental spaces for students attending nearby schools. These businesses
collectively contribute to the local economy while addressing the specific needs of the
academic population in the area.

Within the Purok, the role of Purok President is pivotal in shaping local governance and

"Ako bilang unang konsehal sa Purok, akong nasaksihan ang pag-usbaw sa liderato sa atong
komunidad. Daghan ang nagdala og liderato gikan sa usa ka pamilya, parehas sa mga inahan
nga nagpasa og liderato sa ilang mga anak. Ang kasagran babaye ang nagdominar, sama sa
mga lider nga sila anhing Purita Dela Peña, Melba D. Sardalla, ug ni pres Clarissa Sardalla.
Naa sab mga panahon nga usa ka lider maoy nag-atiman sa atong purok sulod sa dugay nga
panahon, nga naghatag kanato og kahigayonan sa pag-implementar sa mga proyekto alang sa
atong kaayuhan sa purok. Kung atu jud hisgutan ang mga liderato malalaki man o babae,
naghatag kini og lain-laing mga panan-aw sa ila kung giunsa nila pagserbisyo, ug tarung ba
ilang koneksyon sa mga pamilya sa purok ug naglunsad ba silag maayu nga mga proyekto sa
komunidad. Tanan kini nagpamatuod nga kita andam sa pag-apil-apil sa tanan ug pagrespeto
sa lain-laing mga panan-aw alang sa kaayuhan sa atong mga kaigsuonan."
