Stage One:
Two jury members shall examine each student.
The pair of Jury members should (in Stage One) be given the final reports submitted by the
students and allowed to examine them for two hours. This will be done without the students
being present. All Research Guides must be present for the whole day and available to the jurors,
if required. The Jurors are advised to examine the reports and make a preliminary marking.

It is advised that each set of jurors examine around 12-15 students in a day.
For schools with a large intake, the juries may be held on more than one day, but with the same
group of jurors.

Stage Two
The jurors should, after Stage One, be escorted to the Jury Hall where the students shall be
present.
Each student may put up a presentation (to elaborate on any essential points of their research, or
present larger maps/plans, site study, etc.) in the form of one 4’ x 8’ sheet for a ‘stand-up’
presentation or a present a portfolio of upto 4 A2 Sheets, if a table presentation is preferred.

The set of two jurors shall then conduct a viva voce with each student, whose report they have
already examined in Stage One.
The Jurors shall then make their final assessment/ marking.

Note: The Sem IX B Arch examinations are to be conducted by the college, and the above
guidelines may be adjusted to the requirements of each college. However the mandatory
requirements of submission and jury should be followed.
