Explanation;

The relevance between garbage and climate change lies in the way various waste
management practices, particularly on improper disposal of garbage and certain waste
treatment methods to contribute on greenhouse gases emissions. Landfills, for example,
produce methane, a potent greenhouse gas. In addition with this burning waste, including
plastics the release of harmful chemicals and greenhouse gases into the atmosphere this
contribute to air pollution and climate change carbon dioxide and other pollutants that can
directly affect climate change. This practice poses risks to both the environment and human
health. Proper waste management, recycling, and reducing overall waste production are
essential strategy to mitigate these climate impacts towards the society.

Insight Gained
Climate change refers to long-term alterations in temperature, precipitation, and other
atmospheric conditions on Earth. Human activities, particularly the burning of fossil fuels and
deforestation, have significantly increased the concentration of greenhouse gases in the
atmosphere. This enhanced greenhouse effect that leads to global warming and various
environmental changes.
The primary cause of climate change are human activities, because it increase the
concentration of greenhouse gases in the Earth’s atmosphere it includes, Burning of Fossil Fuels,
Deforestation, Industrial processes, Land use changes, and Improper waste management.
To take action in order to lesser the impacts of climate change globally we need to work
strategies towards it to avoid the consequences that may come, like adopt renewable energy
sources like solar, wind, and hydropower. The use of energy-efficient appliances, vehicles, and
buildings to reduce overall energy consumption in order to reduce greenhouse gas emissions.
Conserve water to reduce energy use in water heating and treatment processes. Reduce waste
by recycling materials and composting organic matter, and using alternative products like
wooden spoons, forks, and straws. Minimize the use of disposable plastics to decrease
environmental pollution. Advocate for and support policies that promote clean energy,
sustainable practices, and environmental conservation. Educate others about the impacts of
climate change and the importance of sustainable practices and Encourage and adopt eco-
friendly lifestyle choices, such as consuming responsibly and reducing waste.
