This document is a template for a project opportunity note. It should allow you to organize your work on
the emergence phase of your project. The group of students can use this framework to guide their writing.
It is possible, for students wishing it, to build an opportunity note with a different structuring. An
opportunity note must never exceed two pages and it remains necessary to find, at least, the following
elements:

 PROJECT NAME

Your project should be named. This may have to evolve but it allows, to date, to give an overall vision of
the direction envisaged by the project team.

 PROJECT CONTEXT

The main tasks are: 1/ to recall the origin and nature of the project; 2/ to describe the internal and
external elements of the project environment; 3/ to identify the main actors of the project.

 THE OBJECTIVES TO BE ACHIEVED

It is in this section that the tree of objectives must be presented and explained. Reading this paragraph
should help to understand the results you want to achieve.

 ONE (FIRST) RETRO PROJECT SCHEDULE

This section is intended to mention the first known planning elements: project end date, date of
deliverables for the different phases. To do this, it is a matter of making the link with the conduct of the
sessions of your course.
