2. Wireline activity before getting stuck:

Weak point used: ECRD

Tool Weight in Mud: 1430 Lbs
MSP (Max Safe Pull), @Stuck Point: 9500 Lbs

• Tool string length: 19.3 m.

1) Tool Stuck Incident:

During MDT-LD; as pretest/DFA program started with Reservoir Group 1. The first DFA
station in Reservoir 1 was performed according to the program, at point 4147.2m, After the
DFA station done, moving tool was not possible and was found stuck in both directions (up
& down).
- Possible stuck point on the side of the tool.
- Possible stuck point on probe section. Set and Retract did not help.

Several attempts were performed to free the tool, but all failed.

- Slacking the cable and pulling out,

- Keeping the tool under Maximum safe Pull: 9000 Lbf for up to 8 hours.

7. Open Ended Operation:

1. General Guidelines:

• Release Weak Point with top drive and T-BAR, retrieve the cable and start pulling out the fish with
drill pipes.
• Connect Fishing downhole assembly to the Drilling BHA. Do not use Drilling collars and jars!!!!
• Measure the length of the overshot and record it (to be taken in consideration for driller BHA
length).
• Good communication between rig crew and wireline team to be always maintained.

2. Run in Hole Guidelines:

• Never rotate drill pipes at any point during the operation
• Extra care must be taken
• Circulate every 5 stands in open hole at 500 PSI max
• Circulate before engaging the engaging the fish @ 500 PSI max.
• Circulate

(Prolonged circulation above the fish may cause a wash-out that will make it more difficult to find the fish)

3. Engage The Fish:

• Circulate before engaging the engaging the fish @ 500 PSI max.
(Prolonged circulation above the fish may cause a wash-out that will make it more difficult to find
the fish)
• Move to engage fish head, with very low rate to clean top of fish. TOP OF FISH @ 4128 m (Logger)
• Communication between driller and Wireline crew must be maintained at all times to monitor
Driller weight for indications that toolstring has been freed.
• Maximum compression on Toolstring = 3.58 TONS (7900 Lbf) / Maximum Tension= 10.20 tons
(22.500 lbf).
• Pull slowly the drilling string, and monitor the weight, and confirm the engagement.
• Do not rotate pipe after engagement to prevent damage to cable and accidental disconnection of
fish.
• Weight of tool is 0.88T, driller will pose over tool, do not exceed 3.58 Ton compression of the MDT
Tool string.
• After engaging and releasing the fish (**Never exceed 10.20 Ton overpull when trying to free the
tool as it is the limit of strength in tension for MDT tool),
• Start pumping mud with lowest rate until reaching 1000Psi.hold to confirm fish is engaged, bleed
pressure then start pulling out of hole.
• Never rotate drill pipes!!
• Never rotate drill pipes!!
