Task 02
 UPF supports the goals of the UN with
programs on occasions such as:

● World Interfaith Harmony Week (first week

of February)
● International Women's Day (March 8)
● International Day of Families (May 15)
● Global Day of Parents (June 1)
● International Day of Peace (September 21)
Each year the International Day of Peace (IDP)
is observed around the world on 21 September.
The UN General Assembly has declared this as
a day devoted to strengthening the ideals of
peace, through observing 24 hours of
non-violence and cease-fire. Never has our
world needed peace more.

This year, the theme is Actions for Peace: Our

Ambition for the #GlobalGoals. It serves as a
call to action that acknowledges both our
individual and group responsibilities in
promoting peace. A culture of peace will be
established for all people if the Sustainable
Development Goals (SDGs) are accomplished.
Promoting peace helps to realize the SDGs.
For the second task, interns need to read about the SDGs and work on a plan of
action to achieve them with their friends.

The plan of action should be made into a poster, and a note should be written
regarding the plan of action.

Each intern will be given one goal. For example, if you are given goal No. 1, which
is to reduce poverty, Study well on Goal 1, talk with your friends, and make a plan
of action to meet the needs of the goal. Make a poster and submit us.
