 “Summer means happy times and good sunshine."

Summer vacation is the most awaited time of the year when leisure and creativity go hand in
hand! It is time to bond with family and friends! It is time to revel in the bounty of nature and
savor luscious fruits and drinks!

We have designed holiday assignments for our dear Angelites keeping in mind that learning
happens best in a joyous manner! Experiential learning and art integration have been
incorporated in the assignments. Parents can support children in their work as facilitators,
however the children should do the assignments on their own.

Here are a few suggestions and guidelines

1. The homework will be assessed under the Subject Enrichment parameter. Marks will be
awarded for each subject.

2. The child will be assessed for content, presentation and punctuality.

3. Assignments have been designed to integrate art with all subjects

4. Revision of concepts taught in class is a part of the holiday homework.

5. Students are advised to converse in English to get comfortable with the language.

6. Students are advised to participate in household activities like watering plants, organizing their
space, helping in the kitchen, laying table for meals etc. This will help them to connect with their
surroundings and become more responsible.

7. Students should exercise regularly and eat healthy and balanced diet. It would be good to stay
away from gadgets and indulge in activities like swimming, walking, yoga and meditation.

8. Holiday homework is to be submitted from 3rd to 5th July 2023.

BASED ON THE G-20 Theme Vasudhaiva kutumbakam

To Recover Together , Recover Stronger the only practical way to it is Vasudhaiva

Kutumbakam which means One Earth, One Family and one Future its purpose is to enable
mutual respect and evolve human consciousness and society. Where we move from ‘I-Them
to ‘I- We’. Climate change, global warming has compelled us to work towards the betterment
of humanity to save the earth from destruction and to share the knowledge , having strong
belief in the scriptures of Upanishad and Vedas G-20 Summit was a step forward in this
direction.

ENGLISH
Research work:
● What is the theme of G-20 Presidency 2023.Where is the concept taken from?
● What is the vision of the Prime Minister of India in hoisting this summit and how will it
help the world .
● What do the colours of the logo represent?
● Write an article for your school magazine including the points from your research in
about 200 words. Give a suitable title to it.

Points to Remember:

● Use A-4 size ruled to write your article .

● Write neatly in good handwriting.

MATHS

The Group of Twenty (G20) is the premier forum for international economic cooperation. It
plays an important role in shaping and strengthening global architecture and governance on all
major international economic issues.
The G20 Summit is held annually, under the leadership of a rotating Presidency. The G20
initially focused largely on broad macroeconomic issues, but it has since expanded its agenda to
inter-alia including trade, sustainable development, health, agriculture, energy, environment,
climate change, and anti-corruption.

1. Make a pie chart model on the percentage of literacy rate of any 6 countries associated
with the G20 summit.

2. One of the themes in the G20 Agenda is the concept of life (Lifestyle For Environment)
with the aim of living in harmony with nature for sustainable living. We are aware that
environmental degradation is affecting the lives of people in every region. Life envisages
a way of living that respects nature and other organisms that coexist with us, the humans
for a greener and cleaner earth.
● Write about 8-10 ways how sustainable living can be easily adopted by people in
urban and rural areas. (colored ruled sheets)
● Paste pictures and write 50-100 words (each) about such 3 personalities who are
already living this kind of lifestyle (colored ruled sheets)
Instructions for students:
● Use A4 size sheets of any colour to prepare the write up.
● Use pictures/diagrams wherever required.
● Use coloured pens.

SOCIAL SCIENCE

It is a proud moment for all in India as citizens and for the countries in Asia and Africa and also
for all other countries for India has taken over the G20 Presidency at a crucial period of time in
history. G20 forum gives India the unique opportunity to communicate its democratic ethos to
the world.

Let us research and know more :

❖ Who are the members of the G20 and how are they chosen?
❖ What is the agenda of G20 summit?

(Write the answers in A4 sheets. Be as creative as you can while writing your answers.)

Mark the G20 countries on a world map showing the impact of climate change on those
countries. This could include the data on:
● Rising sea levels
● Temperature changes
● Natural disasters

You can use different colors or symbols for the countries which are most affected. Make a
PowerPoint presentation to explain in the classroom post summer holidays. (Time Limit per
student – 4-5 minutes)

Revise all the chapters covered in class.
