PART 1 : COMPULSORY BOARD PROJECT TO BE DONE BY ALL STUDENTS

Objective:
A) The overall objective of the project work is to help students gain an insight and pragmatic
understanding of the theme and see all the Social Science disciplines from
interdisciplinary perspective.

B) It should also help in enhancing the Life Skills of the students.

C) Students are expected to apply the Social Science concepts that they have learnt over the
years in order to prepare the project report.

D) If required, students may go out for collecting data and use different primary and
secondary resources to prepare the project. If possible, various forms of art may be
integrated in the project work.

GUIDLINES OF THE PROJECT:

A) Every student must compulsorily undertake any one project on the following topics.
The following structure MUST be followed for all projects:
1. Title (specific to the topic chosen by you)
2. Content page
3. Introduction
4. Rationale (why have you chosen this topic. How is it important?)
5. Analysis (Main body of the project. Should be broken further into sub topics)
6. Conclusion (What have you learned from the research)
7. Bibliography (Alphabetical list of books, articles and other resources used for reference)

A. Sustainable Development Goals: Select any one of the following SDG goals to
undertake a research project on the importance of that goal and how it is being achieved or
implemented by your school, local/state government and the central government.
You may select any of the following SDGs:
SDG 13, 11, 16, 6, 7, 5

B. Social Issues: Select any one issue out of the following: Food Insecurity/ Gender
Inequality & Discrimination/ Climate Change
Your project must highlight the significance of the issue, a relevant case study from India, and
possible solutions to the problem.

C. Consumer Awareness:
1) What are Consumer Rights?
2) Importance of Consumer Protection.
3) The need for a Consumer Protection Act.
4) What type of Legal protection do consumers get?
5) What are the responsibilities of a Consumer?
6) Why should a consumer be aware of his rights?
7) Identify any one Consumer organisation and write about them.

B) The project has to be well researched and Handwritten submitted in a file.


C) Do ensure that light coloured A3 sized sheets are used for the same.
D) Make your project Visually presentable through (pictures, surveys, questionnaires and
statistical data (if needed).
E) The submission of the individual project file is 12th July 202

a) Self study exercise is required for every student to work on concepts independently.
b) Therefore we would like the chapter ‘Forest and wildlife Resources’ to be done entirely
by the student.
c) The teacher will upload a PPT of the chapter and the following questions related to the
Chapter need to be done in the Geography notebook.
d) The NCERT textbook can also be used as reference.
e) Do ensure that all questions are complete and lines should be drawn after every answer,
with keywords highlighted.
