Market Overview
Coal markets saw a mixed session today with modest losses seen on prompt API#2 and gC NEWC but small gains on API#4.
Curve dated contracts all saw losses with both API#2 and gC NEWC Futures for Cal'24 down $1/t with theAPI#4 again faring better
only losing $0.40/t. Physical markets saw the main focus again on gC NEWC with Nov'23 trading at $160/t, down $0.95/t from last
done on Tuesday. RB markets saw continued bid interest with bids again seen on both RB1 and RB2 contracts as well as index bid
interest. Elsewhere, European gas prices bounced back strongly by 6% while oil prices dipped again by $0.60/bbl to $90/bbl..

The Phys NEWC market saw a Nov 25kt clip concluded on screen at $160/mt today. The Indo 3800NAR market heard a trade
concluded for a September supramax at $50/mt. The Australian HA 5500NAR market heard a trade concluded at $89.50/mt for Oct.

From the Met Desk

After a quiet start to the week, some good demand returned to the screen today with bids on October HCCA Prime increasiing to
$273.0 in both 75kt and 35kt sizes. The sell side remained out of the market at this level however as availability still appears tight in
the prompt months for premium material.
