➢ A Dielectric (or Dielectric material ) is an electrical insulator.

➢Unlike Conductors, Dielectric materials DO NOT have any loosely


bounded or Free electrons.

➢When a Dielectric material is placed in an Electric Field , Electric


Polarization occurs.
