WATCH KEEPING (DECK)

1 Deck and pump room rounds made at appropriate interval

2 Cargo loading/discharging rate calculated at regular intervals

3 Cargo operation in progress as per cargo plan

4 Trim and list under control and within the limit of instruction

5 Stresses and stability monitored and kept within the range

6 O2 content and I.G pressure to be continuously monitored

7 Adequate number of tanks open at all times

8 Fire and safety patrol is carried out regularly and on completion recorded every watch.

9 Mooring and gangway attended frequently

10 Drafts and under keel clearances are known

11 State of weather and sea monitored

12 Condition of cargo arms / hoses checked

13 Communication link between deck/control room and control room/shore checked

14 Deck manned at all times
