Hello everyone, I am Daniela Lucero and I will present the continuation of Post-
Univeristy Life. After he went to Germany and France, one of the reasons for Jose
Rizal’s travel was to find an improvement regarding to his studies but since he didn’t
see any improvement in Philippines, he decided to go to Spain. He went Spain for
further gain knowledge and hone his craft. He believed that by going to Spain, he
could gain more knowledge, skills, and influence that would help him achieve his
goals. But, as his letter to Paciano indicated, he did not have it in Spain either. Rizal
did not see himself as a true professional and intellectual among the Spaniards. On
the other hand, Rizal never forget about social concerns. Perhaps, before going to
Paris, he visited the Spanish provinces for his studies towards to the community.

After that, His next destination was Paris. Rizal not spent only on further studies and
honing his craft but also had a reunion with friends and enjoyed his time in Paris. He
often visited these two studio the Pardo de Taveras and the Luna and Hidalgo. Also,
he had other lighter experiences as he became a member in German chess club
through his skill. He also write the poem “ A las Flores de Heidelberg” As he
compares the flowers to the Philippines, expressing his love and longing for his
native land. He even spent time at the gym to keep in good shape. He did all of this
while continuing his task of observing people and their customs. While enjoying his
time in Paris, Rizal wrote the quarter of the Noli Me Tangere.

Lastly, he went in Berlin, he continued to write the half of the Noli Me Tangere.
Then, it was publish through the help of Dr. Maximo Viola.

To conclude, Rizal's life and travels were marked by his intellectual pursuits,
dedication to education, and unwavering commitment to advocating for the rights
and dignity of the Filipino people. His writings and actions played a significant role in
inspiring the Philippine Revolution against Spanish colonial rule. Rizal's legacy as a
national hero endures, and his ideals continue to shape the Philippines' cultural and
historical narrative.
