Focke F5 packer

D320i integration

This presentation is strictly commercial in confidence and is not to be used or any parts copied without prior permission of Domino
About this document

• This document has been written to guide Domino

channels in the following scenario:
– Customer is taking delivery of a new Focke F5 packer
– Laser integration is to be supplied by Focke
– Domino lasers to be supplied by local Domino channel

• This document will clarify:

– Expected scope of supply from Focke GmbH
– Scope of supply from the local Domino channel
Overview

• F5, Fx (KS, Slim or Nano) with a 150mm 2nd drum and F8 require two
lasers in the 2nd drying drum position

• Customers should contact Focke for a complete solution including

Domino lasers in the first instance. This is always the preferred &
recommended approach.

• If the customer decides not to use Focke for the supply of the lasers they
can purchase the lasers locally from Domino, but the customer must
confirm in writing that Focke will prepare the packer for laser integration

• Domino cannot supply or install these twin laser solutions

without the required Focke preparation

• Domino will NOT carry out any mechanical modifications or

any of the electrical requirements
Scope of supply from Focke

• The customer is to confirm to the Domino channel that the packer will
be delivered from Focke with the following preparation for integration:
– Modifications required to packer frame or chassis (drilling or cutting)
– ‘Coding cam’ for 2nd drum gearbox
– Modifications to 2nd drum including any pack control system
– Laser support brackets
– Laser guarding
– Associated laser guarding interlocks
– BCP7 laser controller support brackets
– Extraction housing
– All required cabling for control & power (excluding any cables as detailed in
the ‘Domino BOM – Laser’ )
– Access to the Domino lasers will be via a Focke HMI using Domino D-Series
browser so this function needs to be prepared
