INTRODUCTION

BACKGROUND OF THE STUDY

One of the most crucial aspects of a person's life is their job.


Their social lives and way of life are influenced by their jobs.
Therefore, having a contented workforce is essential for every
government offices. Today, the different offices significantly
contribute to the municipality of Jordan's economic growth. In
addition to offering excellent services, they also give a
significant number of people job chances. The purpose of the
current study is to understand employee work happiness and its
relationship with performance level in light of the public
sector's contribution to society and the significant role that
work satisfaction plays in enhancing employees' performance.

There is a widespread belief that an organization's overall


productivity and success. Employees should be offered options for
promotion for this reason, including pay scales, employee
engagement in policy making, and making efforts to promote
organizational commitment. This will increase work satisfaction
and boost performance.

Similar to how safety and excellent connections with coworkers


and supervisors are the main sources of satisfaction, the nature
of the job, the manner in which it is supervised, job stability,
acknowledgement, and advancement are significant variables in
determining employees' organizational commitment. Additionally,
participation in pension, profit-sharing, and job security plans
is positively connected with work happiness, despite the fact
that numerous research have identified professional growth
opportunities as the main factor influencing work satisfaction.
Statement of the Problem
This study aims to determine the works
satisfaction and performance of employees in the municipality of
Jordan, province of Guimaras, Philippines, fiscal year 2023-2024

Specifically, this will answer the following questions;

1. What is the profile of respondents when taken as a whole

and when classified according to age, sex, civil status,

years in service and nature of employment?

2. What is the level of employees work satisfaction when

taken as a whole and when classified according to age,

sex, civil status, years in service and nature of

employment?

3. What is the performance of employees when taken as a whole

and when classified according to age, sex, civil status,

years in service and nature of employment?

4. Are there significant differences in the level of

employees when classified according to age, sex, civil

status, years in service and nature of employment?

5. Are there significant differences in the performance of

employees when classified according to age, sex, civil

status, years in service and nature of employment?


6. Is there a significant relationship between employees work

satisfaction and performance?

Null Hypotheses

1. There is no significant differences in the level of

employees work satisfaction and performance when classified

according to age, sex, civil status, years in service and

nature of employment.

Theoretical Framework

Conceptual Framework

This study will be conducted to determine the level of work


satisfaction and performance of employees in the municipality of
Jordan, province of Guimaras, Philippines, fiscal year 2023-2024.
The researcher- made instrument will be used to gather responses
to 60 respondents purposefully taken from the pool of municipal
employees in Jordan, Guimaras. The instrument includes question
and criteria which the researcher believe could best answer the
problem and determine if there is a significant difference in the
level of work satisfaction and performance of the employees
