Describe ten different activities you HAD DONE or HADN’T DONE before you finished
high school. Use the PAST PERFECT.
Ex. Before I finished high school, I had learned to speak English.
CREATING:
In this speaking Activity, you will record an audio. Explain what happened before the
situations described below using PAST PERFECT.

1. Before finishing school I already knew how to use the computer.

2. Before graduating high school I already had a systems technician.
3. Before taking the exam I had already studied.
4. Before the teacher erased the blackboard he had already copied.
5. My learning at school was easier than at university.
6. Before finishing the math course I went to lunch.

7. I left school and went to play volleyball.

8. When I practiced mathematics I dreamed of being a teacher.
9. At school I learned how to work as a team.
10. The teacher taught me to present my knowledge.
Ex. Charles had an accident.
Before Charles had an accident, he had been fired from his job.
1. Jim was condemned to 2 years in jail.

It was obvious that he had made a mistake.

2. Jane went on a cruise around the world.

She had dreamed of this trip all her life.

3. The police officer became the hero of the day.

He had caught a couple of the thieves and saved a lot of lives that day

4. Everyone burst into laughter.

He had told them a funny story from his childhood.

5. The teacher grounded the whole class.

They teacher grounded the homework for their class.
