Affixes
Affixes are linguistic elements added to a base word to create a new word. They can be prefixes
(added at the beginning), suffixes (added at the end), or infixes (inserted within).

Affixes are prefixes & suffixes & infixes.

• Prefixes: beginning of words & change the meaning (un+happy=unhappy).

• Suffixes: end of words & change the word class (happy+ly=happily).
