1. The teacher greets the students.

2. The teacher starts the class by asking the students if they are familiar
with home safety.

3. Teacher explains what they are going to learn today (safety)

4. Teacher asks students to refer to the vocabulary section in their


textbook (page 106).

5. Teacher and students will read the words together. Teacher will explain
each meaning to the students.

6. Students will repeat the words again.

Presentation:

1. The teacher will play a short YouTube video about home safety for the
students to watch.

2. Teacher asks students about what they can understand from the video.

3. Teacher gives a scenario where students need to give advice on what


they should do in that certain situation (eg. A stranger is seen chasing
your cousin at the park. What should you do?)

4. Students will need to speak and give their opinions on what they
should do.

Practice:

Lesson Development
1. Teacher asks students to refer back to the textbook (page 106)
2. Teacher asks students to say what can they see in the textbook.
3. Teacher asks the students know about home safety. Ask
students to think of more home safety other than the ones stated
in the textbook.
4. Teacher asks students to divide into groups.
5. Each group needs to draw a house just like in the textbook. They
may use 3 home safeties stated in the textbook, but each group
needs to add 2 new home safeties other than the ones stated in
the textbook.
6. Each group will be given a manila card by the teacher.

Production:

1. . Teacher asks students to divide into groups.


2. Teacher will prepare a few strips of paper containing random
scenarios and put it in a small box. (Eg. I am thirsty, my mom
accidentally burnt my dinner,)
3. One student from each group will come up front and take a strip
of paper and return back to their respective groups.
4. Each group will need to discuss about 3 advices on what they
should do to overcome that situation. They will also need to
answer why they chose to give that advice.
5. Each group will present their findings to the class.

Closure 1.Teacher recaps the lesson.

2.Teacher reminds the students to hand in their work.

3.Teacher praises students for their participation.
