Changing the operation mode may be
performed via:
• a shutdown alarm class
• the HMI soft keys
• the LogicsManager

Manual mode

Stop mode

14 |
Start / Stop in Manual Mode
 Start/Stop via push buttons (1)

 Conditions for “AUTO” are ignored (mains failure and remote start)
 Start prevented if active C - F class alarm
 Open / close GCB (2) and MCB (3)

Start / Stop in Auto Mode
Generator:
Start conditions Stop conditions
 LM: Start in auto is “true”  LM: Start conditions are “false”
may be used with load dependent start/stop function  Alarm class C-F detected
 LM: Start w/o load is “true”  LM: Stop in auto
 LM: Critical mode is “true”
 Loss of mains {GCB/MCB} (Emergency mode)  LM: Inhibit emergency mode
Mains voltage/frequency out of operating range
Mains rotation field wrong
“Fail to close MCB” (if parameter is enabled)

GCB
Close GCB: Open GCB:
 Gen parameters are within accepted limits  Dependent upon breaker logic (LDSS)
 Reply GCB is open  For mains decoupling
 Conditions for synchronization or
dead bus closing are met

Start / Stop Logic
Diesel engine
- Pre-glow function
- Fuel or Stop solenoid activation
- Crank/start circuit control
- Preheat / Post-heat function
Gas engine
- Ignition
- Gas valve
- Crank/start circuit control
External Logic
- Fuel Solenoid as a start request to external controllers
- External control must take care of start sequence – no start failure
