Abstract.

The purpose of this paper is to examine the problem of our poor teamwork and find solutions

based on the findings. The paper showed details about our co-workers, their behaviour and

their issues that troubling the company. By presenting the possible causes, we can pinpoint

the roots, finding solutions on the way to gain effective approaches, then pay close attention

on the output of the programs as it is the priority of our goal.

This business proposal was made due to:

a. Problems regarding Gulfview Architectural and Engineering Services poor teamwork

among the staffs during meetings.

b. Recommending solutions to the problem stated.

c. To ensure Gulfview Architectural and Engineering Services have continuous

improvement by following post-update feedback and result.

6
1. Introduction.

1.1. Purpose of the research.

The purpose of this research is to find the source of problems, examine the whole

situation of the scenario then search for the solutions for the problems. Also

include some recommendations to ensure the improvement keep on going for

company’s sake.

1.2. Problem.

1.2.1. Poor Teamwork.

Employees at Gulfview Architectural and Engineering Services are

complaining about the company’s poor meetings. It is because, some of

the co-workers are not cooperating among themselves, hence unable to

obtain consensus at the end of the meetings.

1.2.2. Inarticulate.

One of the main concern that need to change almost immediately. This

could be seen as one of the co-workers, named Rosa Martinez, although

she has good ideas and her comments are always valid, she almost never

provides her inputs during the meetings. This kind of hinder her potential

to be seen or to be taken seriously by the others.

7
1.2.3. Inferior manners.

Some of the co-workers have displayed some degree of unpleasant

behaviour or lacking common decency towards the others during the

meetings. As example, one of them would be very impatient, by showing

verbal and non-verbal communication like grunts and slouching when the

others presenting their inputs.

1.2.4. Lack of discipline.

In fact, one of the co-workers did consistently absent at least one meeting

in a month, occasionally missed two or three meetings in a row because of

childcare issues. For the time being, this obligated the company to make

her come to the meetings as late as 9:00 a.m. even though the meetings

begin at 8:00 a.m. to ensure her attendance for each meetings.

2. Discussion.

Out of three team-building training company that I proposed, there is one consultant

company that grabbed my immediate attention for their services. The name of it is

ProForm. I will further explained my reasons of my choice.

2.1. The cost of the workshop.

Offering a reasonable price tag for its customers, which is charging $3,000 for

their meeting workshop. Compared to the other two, this price is placed in the

middle of the two price point, considered it is not the cheapest nor too expensive,

and still within our company budget, not more than $5,000 for workshop session.
8
2.2. The company services.

Their work structures is what makes me more invested in this company, the fact

that they would interview each one of the personnel to survey their needs, and

create an 8-hours customized workshop that catered to everyone needs may

sounds like a dream to them, and me included. Co-workers also get to practise the

meeting techniques taught by the consultant during the workshop session.

2.3. Post-workshop/services.

They also provide post-workshop “check-up” to see if the techniques are being

implemented in the client meetings, and to evaluate the feedback given by the

participant of their workshop. An extra guarantee for their clientele who have

some doubts with their services since they cared about the quality.

2.4. Credible.

Based on past customers who dealt business with ProForm, the company received

tremendous amount of good and viable testimonies from left and right. It is also

well-known by the public as industry leader in its field and their signature for its

attention to details.

9
3. Conclusion.

The most reasonable with the services and costs while not compromising quality

along the way would be ProForm. The company has exceeds my expectation when I

looked at the costs, and consider logically, most of the time a company would cut one

or two things from the whole package for the customer who want the same things but

leaning on budget-friendly plans. When I came across this promising company that

offers quality service with cheaper price tag from the rest, I cannot help but feel

intrigued. I am sure we can achieve our desired outcome from investing in this one for

our company sakes in future.

4. Recommendation.

I highly recommended Proform to be our consultant to counter the problems from

within the co-workers. Hopefully with the post-workshop check-up offered, we could

somehow wishing for the best output from it.

5. Glossary.

develop and decide on proposals with the aim, or requirements, of acceptance

by all.

Appendix B.

Tom Rodriguez, Director of Human Resources, Gulfview Architectural and Engineering

Services, has suggested the following criteria:

 Cost ─no more than $ 5,000 including supplies

 Time ─ a maximum of 16 work hours
 Instructional delivery ─ e-learning, lecture format, hands-on activities, or multimedia
presentations
 References required
 Workbooks ─ participants should be able to practise meeting techniques during the
session.
 Post-workshop assessment. Gulfview needs a matrix or method to determine if the
workshop has succeeded.
