Important Notes on choosing Compulsory courses and Departmental Electives:
- Students MUST choose the Compulsory Pattern (if applicable) before choosing Electives.
- Please pay attention to the “Pre-requisite” and “Remarks” to check if there are any registration restrictions
for the course. If you do not meet the pre-requisite requirements of a course and enroll it during the online
course selection, such enrolled course will be removed by Registry without prior notice.
- If you intend to add any course(s) with tutorial, please be reminded that you must select lecture section
first and then select one of the tutorial sections. If the course is full, student who has only enrolled tutorial
section without lecture section will be considered as “Unsuccessful Course Enrolment”. Enrolled tutorial
will be automatically deleted by the Registry without prior notice. The remaining quota of the tutorial
will base on the queue on the waitlist for student who has enrolled lecture section without tutorial.
- Students will be placed in queue on the waitlist when the selected Elective is full. The queue on the
waitlist will be expired after such course selection period.
- Please be aware that the credits of the course(s) on the waitlist will not be counted into the enrolled credits.
However, the system will check students’ maximum credits before enrolling them into the class from the
waitlist (e.g. A student has already registered 16 credits, system will not enrol him/her from the waitlist
of a 3-credit course if the maximum credits of student are 18 credits, even if the course has quota available
and the student is in position 1 of the waitlist).
- Think twice before swapping/dropping courses. When you drop a course during the course selection
period, the place will immediately be released for other students to enroll if there is a waitlist. The queue
on the waitlist will also immediately move forward. Hence, it is not possible to add back to the original
queue position or register to the course that you have dropped.
