Design and Development of Health Monitoring System for an IC Engine (Oct 2020-Nov 2021):

• Selection and alteration of sensors for data acquisition to perform root cause analysis for the prediction of the
fault before it occurs.
• Focused on fuel injectors to study the root cause analysis for the breakdown due to an injector.
• The causes, symptoms, and prevention of the engine failure due to improper fuel injection rate of the fuel
injector were observed.
Research on Wartsila 18V-34 DF Diesel Engine (Oct 2020-Apr 2021):
• Research on a 4-stroke, non-reversible, turbocharged, and inter-cooled dual-fuel Wartsila 34DF engine
with direct-injection of liquid fuel and indirect injection of gas fuel.
• Thorough technical study of operating ranges, piping design,treatment and installation, fuel system,
and lubricating oil system.
• Covered all types of theoretical and technical aspects including cooling water, combustion air, and
exhaust gas systems.
• Furthermore, turbocharger cleaning, exhaust emissions, and overall study of overhauling and
troubleshooting.
