A RESOLUTION CONCURRING THE APPOINTMENT OF _____________________ AS BARANGAY

_____________________ OF BARANGAY ______________________, BUTUAN CITY.

WHEREAS, Chapter 2 Section 387 of the Local Government Code of 1991 provides that there shall be in each Barangay a
Punong Barangay, seven (7) Sangguniang Barangay members, the Sangguniang Kabataan Chairperson, a Barangay Secretary,
and a Barangay Treasurer.

WHEREAS, Section 394 and 395 of the Local Government Code of 1991 provides that the Barangay Secretary and Barangay
Treasurer, respectively, shall be appointed by the Punong Barangay with the concurrence of the majority of all Sangguniang
Barangay members. The appointment of the Barangay Secretary and Barangay Treasurer shall not be subject to attestation by
the Civil Service Commission.

WHEREAS, in the exigency of public service, ________ was appointed as Barangay ________ effective ________;

WHEREAS, it is the function of the Sangguniang Barangay to concur the appointment of ________ as Barangay ________;

NOW THEREFORE, on motion of Sangguniang Barangay Member _________ and duly seconded by Sangguniang Barangay
Member _________;

BE IT RESOLVED, AS IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE SANGGUNIANG BARANGAY of Barangay _________, Butuan City by
virtue of the powers vested in it by law, do hereby concur the appointment of _________ as Barangay ________ effective
_________.

RESOLVED FINALLY, that a copy of this resolution be furnished to the Office of the City Local Government Operations Officer,
Department of the Interior and Local Government, Butuan City Office and all offices concerned for information and appropriate
action.
